Basic but Clean and friendly

The downstairs are and restaurant was lovely and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We did find the rooms very basic. Would have loved a coffee station and a little bit or room around the bed and carpets.

I mistakenly booked the wrong date and the hotel could not have been more accommodating. Super helpful on the phone and nothing was too much trouble. On arrival after midnight I expected everything to be closed up - but to my surprise they had top Belgian beers on tap for that welcome drink Staff should be commended for their attitude towards guests - I wish other hotels were like this. Well Done !

Staff was friendly and hotel is in a residential neighborhood. But the room itself had very few amenities, was not super clean, and had a lot of broken items in the room.

Very good hotel

We normally stay in Premiere Classe when in France. We chose this one for a visit to Bruges as it was close in price. However, it was definitely a leg up in terms of facilities. Shame that they didn't include parking and breakfast, whilst good, was a little pricey.

Peasant stay

Friendly and efficient service. Very reliable as any other Ibis Hotel where I have stayed. Not so close to Brugge, if you don’t have a car it may be an inconvenience, but luckily for us we were in a road trip. The hotel has a car park, charging EUR7 per day at the moment of our stay; there is a free car park within a short walk but out of the hotel premises.

Lovely hotel!

Lovely modern hotel with great TV selection for foreign visitors. USB Charging in room. Fully air conditioning for heat and cool. Lovely bathroom with decent shower. Only downside was the comfort of bed was a little stiff but for the price you cannot say no!

Great hotel for the thrifty, low-maintenance folks

If you are looking for an economical, no-thrills stop-over, this hotel is befitting. Reception staff were expecptionally helpful and tried to accommodate all reasonable requests. Audrey acquitted herself with utmost professionalism and stood out to me as her's was the first face I saw upon check-in. Of course, this is subjective, but beds were very comfortable; temperature control was good (we visited in December, so outside temperatures were dipping to 0 in the early hours): internal décor was tired and ventilation in bathroom could do with reviewing, but the key aspects of ensuring a good night's sleep have been prioritised. Breakfast provision of continental-style was welcome; viennoisserie was freshly baked and bread was fresh. Modest seating area for breakfast, but sufficient for a 30-40 minute meal. Coffee was nice too! Inviting reception area, which was decorated for the festive season. Reception is manned 24hrs a day. No telephone on bedroom. Sound-proofing between bedrooms was very good too.

We were very unimpressed. After reading the reveiws and descriptions of the hotel that said it was the best hotel for staying outside to avoid Bruges prices but the best for travelling to Bruges, we were thoroughly dissappionted. The taxis were advertised online for 20 euro but when we arrived we were told they were 50-60 euro. We asked about the 'local' bus that was supposedly outside the hotel, it was a half an hour walk. We tried to drive into Bruges but the traffic was awful and the parking was the same....everywhere was full and we tried 9 car parks (however that may have been due to the christmas market so we understand it may not always be that busy...) The hotel was in the middle of nowhere and served nothing but breakfast, a vending machine, a microwave and frozen pizza and pasta ready meals that they passed off as dinner for an extortinate rate, something that was not explained on the website. The members of staff were not very friendly, they made us feel like an inconvenience and we were met with eye rolls, huffs and questions when we wanted to order 2 glasses of wine...? We were on holiday and wanted to make the most of it and it made them money so not sure why the fuss. The hotel was easy to find and the room was clean but that's the only good thing I can say. I understand it is the Ibis Budget, but even budget should have polite staff, clearly advertised dinner options and staff that are friendly. We will not be booking again, very dissappointed.
