The Bellavista is wonderful, a beautiful building and location with fantastic views. The staff were all lovely, really friendly and helpful, and the food in the restaurant was excellent. We would definitely stay again

Bellavista is a wonderful place to stay if you are visiting Como. It is located high above the city with wonderful view. A tram going down to the shopping area of Como is located right next to the hotel.

The Bellavista is simply charming! Our stay could not have been more enjoyable! If you enjoy a serine and quiet experience, staying at the Bellavista in Brunate is the best choice in all of Lake Como. The Bellavista is family owned and operated, which extends a warm and welcoming experience! The view of Como from the hotel is spectacular too!

Such a wonderful stay. Staff were really friendly, room was gorgeous, view was stunning. Felt clean but vintage and stylish. Food at the restaurant and at breakfast were lovely. If you're driving it might be easier to park in Como and get the furnacular up as it's literally right next to it and saves navigating up the hill. If I could give more than 5* I would!

Amazing location, on the top of the hill. Perfect view. Very adventurous to drive there... Friendly staff, helped with luggage. No elevator...no air-condition... Great dinner & breakfast. Location is the best in the area.

It was so beautiful. Old world style but with everything you’d need. The view is unbeatable and the location right next to the Funiculare station means you don’t have to worry about how to get up and down the enormous hill. The staff are so friendly and helpful. It was a joy to stay. Wish we’d stayed longer.

This property was gorgeous. The views are amazing. The staff was very nice. They have a restaurant overlooking Lake Como that is spectacular. Dinner, wine and breakfast were lovely. They stayed in contact with me via messages and answered all questions. I will absolutely return to this hotel my next trip to Brunate.

Exceeded all expectations, friendly warm welcome, helpful in every way. Magical room with breathtaking views of Lake Como, authentic room and surrounding. Room was traditional yet had all the modern necessities needed. Young children were equally in awe of the hotel. 2 minute walk from amazing funicular that takes you down to Como. Delicious breakfast served by helpful and friendly staff enjoyed with views of Lake Como.

Charming hotel with a great view.

The hotel is set in a small village on the top of a hill overlooking Lake Como. The view is gorgeous, the restaurant was awesome and the staff are so lovely. I didn’t find the room particularly comfortable but we stayed in the least expensive room so perhaps the more expensive ones are a bit cozier. Our room was very basic and a bit run down but it’s an old building and has a lot of charm. Overall, it’s lovely but if you want luxury, I would recommend upgrading your room to a suite. Thanks to the hotel staff for the warm welcome!

Amazing views! I recommend having a dinner at their restaurant and booking it in advance. Friendly staff. I would love to stay there again. We drove there and our navigaation did not recognize the easiest route the first time. I recommend double checking that if you go by car. Funicular was super close and easy to use, but there were huge lines coming back from Iseo, so if you use that then reserve enough time.

Beautiful outlook, pleasant stay

We had a pleasant stay at this hotel which is in a lovely location overlooking the lake. The room itself was quite basic but clean, and while the bed was comfortable, the footboard made it feel a little small. The shower pressure could have been better. The highlight was definitely the view, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. One of the main reasons we booked, however, was because Hotels.com listed the property as having an electric car charger. On arrival, we discovered that it only offered standard outdoor plug sockets, not actual EV chargers. Since we were using a hire car, we only had a regular charging cable and not the slower charging option required. We believe this was an error on Hotels.com’s part rather than the hotel itself, but we also met another guest who had booked under the same impression. The hotel’s location is also worth noting—it sits high up on the mountainside, with access via narrow, winding roads. This can make driving there quite tricky! Alternatively, the property is reachable by cable car, so it may be easier to park by the lake and bring luggage up that way (only approx a 5-10 min journey). If we were to visit again, that’s likely the approach we’d take.

An incredible experience and property. Wonderful views beautifully restored building and rooms. Great restaurant and bar. Really a wonderful location and staff. The drive up is not for the faint of heart but we’ll worth it. 20 meters to the incline down to Como. My only complaint if you could call it that, is that it did not have A/C. But completely understandable given the age of the building. Was not expecting it but it did get very warm in August. Overall a great experience. Would absolutely recommend.

Our stay at the Bellavista Boutique Hotel in Brunate was memorable. The hotel offers absolutely breathtaking views that really set it apart from any hotel down in Como. The staff were exceptionally warm and attentive, always going the extra mile to make sure we felt welcome. The hotel has an old world charm and is a really unique place to stay. The drive up to Brunate is a bit challenging but arriving at the top is worth it!
