Would highly recommend, especially for the food!

We didn’t expect a lot due to previous reviews, and price, but we were so pleased with this hotel. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The gentleman on reception spoke excellent English, and the waiting staff were so polite! The room is basic, but exceptionally clean and functional. We had a disabled room that catered to our needs and requests 100%. The room was comfy and warm (it was -7° outside)! The bed SO comfy and lovely pillows. Also ample parking (including disabled parking).I've left the best till last: THE FOOD! Well what can we say, absolutely devine! You would expect the same at a 5☆ restaurant! We travel a LOT through Europe and have never experienced this standard of cuisine without paying through the nose. We will 100% stay again, if not just for the Staff service and food!

Good and bad

Good points Restaurant on site Buffet had lots of choice, we didn't try breakfast. Air-conditioning Location to Troyes. 2 male bar staff were very friendly and helpful. Bad points Says book in from 12.00. We arrived at 14.00. One room still wasnt made up. Bed had been slept in. Checked with receptionist, who said it will be done. An hour later we had to find the cleaner ourselves and ask her to make up the room. She was lovely and did , despite that room not being on her list. 1 room the toilet was stained. We were ignored at dinner,, people arriving after us were served and eating. Had to go and ask waitress for service after 40 minutes of waiting. Price was fair.

Just don't do it

Without doubt the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. We got up early so we could leave asap. The room smelled bad of mould. Dirty brown carpet. A spring mattress which felt damp when you lay on it. The bathroom was meh. The window had an outside shutter that couldn't be opened because there was no curtains. So the room was in permanent darkness. It didn't feel very safe as there was premier classe hotel just facing us, and the resident looked like they were permanently living there. Lots of guys hanging out on balconies. We were glad we had a dog with us. The receptionist was okay for check in, she spoke English to us. But the receptionist on leaving was very rude. I guess she didn't want any interaction with un satisfied customers. We didn't get breakfast because the place stank everywhere. So in closing, if you're driving and stuck for a place to stay, just sleep in your car on the side of the road, it would be more comfortable.

Not usual standard for this hotel group.

On arrival, a rather sharp lady, ‘yes!’ No other greeting. I had driven hundreds of miles and was very tired( 80 hears old). Menu limiting due to the structure of choices. I chose a plat but could not have a desert. Wine chosen was not available yet on the menu card. Had to request water. Only one large towel in the bathroom. Disappointing overall.

On a payé presque 100€ une chambre standard qui ne les valait pas. Plutôt exiguë, une seule minuscule table de chevet, une odeur pas très sympathique en arrivant... Impossible d'éteindre 2 éclairages, on a dû enlever la carte et on n'a donc pas pu recharger nos divers appareils ( dont un médical) Accueil et propreté par ailleurs corrects. Et la chambre était calme. Mais rien à voir, pour le même prix, avec le Campanile situé près de l'aéroport.

Je me permets de vous faire part de mon mécontentement concernant mon séjour dans votre établissement. Je suis arrivé le 22 avril à 21h00, et l’on m’a attribué la chambre 58, qui était déjà occupée par une cliente. Par ailleurs, le personnel n’était même pas informé de cette occupation. Je suis donc retourné à la réception afin qu’une solution soit trouvée, l’hôtel étant complet. Cette situation a duré jusqu’à 22h40. Une nouvelle chambre (la 56) m’a ensuite été attribuée. Toutefois, celle-ci n’était pas correctement préparée : le lit était fait avec un simple drap, sans housse de couette ni taies d’oreiller. J’ai ainsi été contraint de dormir directement sur la housse du matelas. Par ailleurs, la salle de bain était dans un état de propreté inacceptable. Au regard de ces éléments, je suis particulièrement déçu de la qualité de service proposée, d’autant plus que le tarif de la nuit s’élevait à 91 €.

N'est pas au niveau d'un 3 étoiles comme la plupart des établissements Campanile maintenant... La chambre est défraichie, l'isolation est inexistante, le chauffage (clim) qui fait du bruit et je ne parle pas du bruit de soufflerie mais d'une hélice qui frotte quelque part, WC noir (pas propre ou usé et noirci???). Points positifs : literie et serviettes propres.
