This was going to be a much higher rated review due to the value this room had and its location to the metro, however, on our last night, someone entered our room during the day while we were gone (with the Do Not Disturb sign on the door handle), turned off the A/C and took the remote for the A/C. A complete breach of trust and that left us with a hot night in Budapest. Too noisy on the main street to even leave the window open.
Take a hard pass on this accommodation as there are plenty of other places in Budapest that would have the positives of this place without the risk of your room being invaded.
Fairly basic but very comfortable, great central location handy for public transport, good aircon (essential in August!), clean. Slightly weird electrics where some plug sockets are on same circuit as the room lights so make sure you plug your phone charger into one that isn't!
One of many reason why I like to book my stay because never never ever happened that made me disappointed. Rooms are cozy, very clean rooms and bathroom. A/C available which is a bonus. Shower& Hand gels are provided. You receive a welcome gift at the time you checkEd in - which is fantastic!! Receptionist guys are super helpful and attentive. Cleaner lady does her job remarkably. Key fobs to get in and out. It’s great. Located in the very centre. It’s surrounded by restaurants, shops, food market, tram, underground and bus stations. Very convenient to go anywhere you desire.
Conveniently located next to a metro station in the central part of the city. Rooms are small but the inner yard is full of atmosphere. The main problem is that if you arrive at night, you have to pick your keys from a box next to the entrance but it's rather dark here, so it can be hard to see the digits that you have to put in the right order. In any case, it took me a while to open the box.

I enjoyed my stay there. Only problem I had was with the tv on New Year's Eve and couldn't get the channels to change or anything else and the hot water while showering went to barely coming out (maybe due to water pressure?) near the end. Otherwise, everything else was fine.

The building is very old and run down. But once we got into our rooms it was acceptable. Can’t complain too much for the price we paid. Rooms were very warm we had comfy beds/hot shower/kettle/mini fridge/mini toiletries. WiFi was hit n miss. Tv didn’t have any English channels. We got fresh towels every day and coffee sachets. Location is about a twenty minute steady walk from the Danube. McDonald’s and Burger King just outside and Lidl/Tesco and spar are all within a few minutes walk. If your a light sleeper I wouldn’t recommend staying here. Located on an extremely busy road and non stop traffic/sirens and trams all day and night.
This property is excellent value for money and the location is perfect for a long weekend. Don’t expect luxury, but we loved the building’s quirky charm! Staff also very helpful
Tunnelbana 3 meter ifrån entren. Spårvagn 10 meter till hållplatsen. Kanon!

Staff was really friendly and accommodating. The place was beside the metro making it very accessible to the city. Place was safe and secure because all doors have locks. There is a shop across the street where you can buy affordable grocery.
Etwas dreckig und improvisiert. Das Personal war nett und das WLAN hat einwandfrei funktioniert. Die Lage ist gut.

Truly not a hotel. Basically a hostel. Had they said up front I would have at been prepared. Definitely showing its age compared to the pictures online. Rooms and WC are private. Staff was friendly enough but only needed for check-in.
On the other hand the location 9s absolutely fantastic.
Posizione comoda , stazione metro sotto casa, stanze piccole ma carine , ambiente gradevole

Bath room needs maintenance water on floor, glass screen needs repair and a height adjuster shower head as it shoots water at the top of the screen. Every thing else was great

Property is very centrally located: from the airport we took the 100E bus and then walked from the stop. The M2 metro line stops right outside the hotel, there is Lidl and other supermarkets near the hotel. Bus to go to Szherchenyi bath is also very easy to get. We had nice weather so decided to walk all the way to the Danube and crossed to Buda, before taking the M2 back.
The hotel occupies 2 floors of an old quaint beautiful building, which I love. It's a shame that the building isn't maintained very well, early morning there is surface water/localised flood on the ground floor as if water was leaking from the drain pipe?
The bathroom is old and could do with an upgrade. There is fridge, kettle, and a complimentary bottle of Hungarian wine. The TV actually has Netflix(!).
Unfortunately as it is by a busy main street/square, when you open the windows you can hear noise from the street. But the windows are thick and quite well soundproofed. If it's too hot and you don't wanna open the window, you can turn on the AC in the room.
