We were so happy to see all the hummingbirds while we enjoyed the excellent coffee and fresh fruit juice in the morning. The private trail was a moderate hike to a gorgeous waterfall and was a great taste of the beauty of the area without the crowds of Tenorio. Our 6 year-old loved seeing the red-eyed tree...

The staff were very forgiving of my limited Spanish. A little harder to get to but worth the drive. The restaurant on property was excellent. Just a small sidenote… There was no air conditioner in my smaller room. I knew this going into it and the nice breeze that was almost constant."

"The nicest people and wonderful hosts. I mentioned that we would be celebrating our daughter’s bday while we were there and they knocked on the door with a huge slice of chocolate cake and a candle and sang Feliz cumpleanos. It was the sweetest thing and so special for our family. It was such a kind gesture and it set the tone for the rest of our time there. Breakfast was a lovely production. "It was like staying inside a well kept jungle! The wildlife (birds and plants) on the property were gorgeous. We saw workers constantly cleaning pools and thermals, tending to the grounds, there was always someone around but no one ever bothered us to make us feel like we had to order something. The breakfast was amazing! We only ordered dinner once and it was beautiful. I was okay that the location was closer to the volcano than the downtown. My only complaints are that there weren't enough...
