My stay at Kibayo was incredible from start to finish. This is place can only be described as a sanctuary, because that’s how it felt calm, beautiful, and peaceful. The staff are wonderfully warm and super helpful, the food is amazing. I will definitely be coming back and I encourage anyone thinking about staying at this place to do it!!!

I loved this quiet cozy haven. The decor is very boho cute, and you're surrounded by a lagoon with lots of birds. We enjoyed hanging by the pool, using the communal kitchen and the staff on site had great recommendations.

What a delightful place! It is tucked at the end of a street that doesn’t look all that great, but enter through the gate and you are in a beautiful oasis. The rooms are lovely, the grounds are beautiful, and the breakfast was an extra bonus. I absolutely loved this place and Dani, was amazing to communicate with and so helpful. And, I loved the kayaks on the river/lagoon right at the edge of the property!

Excellent. We had a rental car so it made everything really easy. Quiet location away from the loud street. Everything was a 5 min drive. Lots of effort is put in by the owners of the property so that you have a nice experience. Breakfast and coffee prepared every morning. Tons of refrigerator space in the shared kitchen area. Comfortable beds and pillows. Secure gated parking. Great community and communication with property owners. Perfect spot for. Surf or kite vacation. Grocery markets and gas stations nearby.

The rooms are great. Whats not great is that there is no staff. No reception, no bar, no restaurant. NOTHING. They leave the key for you. So its basically like renting an AirBnB but disguised as a hotel. Definite value for the quality of the room byt if you like hotel service and amenities than this is not the place for you

Overall, my stay at Kibayo was pleasant. The rooms were clean and comfortable, though the shower had inconsistent hot water, and the showerhead was old and partially broken. The location is lovely, with a beautiful garden that adds to the charm. However, the breakfast was quite simple, consisting of two eggs, a single piece of bread, and a few slices of fruit. We didn’t get a chance to speak to the owner, and the only person available for communication was the cleaning lady, who also welcomed us. This made it difficult to ask questions or address concerns due to the language barrier, as I don’t speak Spanish.

Kibayo made me remember the times I use to stay in my grandparents country side in the Dominican Republic, Ramona was the best service and the young lady after Ramona I forgot her name . But Kibayo is a place to relax and if you want to experience the quitenes and nature and fun activities Kibayo is it. The owner tia I i believe was his name and macho were very nice too very heart warming.

Eso fue una estafa tanto de Expedia como del hotel, cuando llegue tuvimos que irnos un generador eléctrico con un ruido enorme y muy mala higiene, no hay refrigerador, uno solo compartido para todo los huéspedes el peor lugar que he visitado no lo recomiendo, y lo peor no me quisieron hacer el reembolso.

Wir hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt im Kibayo, besonders dank der beiden freundlichen Köchinnen, die uns stets herzlich empfangen haben. Der Garten und die Lagune sind sehr schön und bieten eine tolle Atmosphäre zum Entspannen. Allerdings gibt es einige Nachteile: Ohne Auto ist die Lage eher unpraktisch. Um zum Strand oder zu Restaurants zu gelangen, muss man entlang einer stark befahrenen Hauptstraße laufen, was wenig angenehm ist. Zudem ist die Auswahl an Restaurants in diesem Abschnitt von Cabarete sehr begrenzt – ohne eigenes Fahrzeug würde ich das Hotel daher nicht empfehlen. Ein weiteres Manko sind die extrem vielen Moskitos, die durch die nahegelegene Lagune ein großes Problem darstellen. Wer empfindlich darauf reagiert, sollte unbedingt ausreichend Mückenschutz mitbringen. Das Zimmer war insgesamt schön, und das Hotel hat viel Charme, aber an einigen Stellen wären kleine Instandsetzungen nötig. Der Preis erschien uns etwas zu hoch. Positiv hervorzuheben ist jedoch die gute Kommunikation per WhatsApp, die alle Fragen schnell geklärt hat. Insgesamt ein schöner Ort mit toller Natur und freundlichem Personal, aber mit einigen Einschränkungen für Gäste ohne Auto.
