"Breakfast was minimal, but good. Our room had a damp, musty smell that just wouldn't go away. There was such a big gap around the door that so much light came in all night like we had a light on in the room and the AC unit was extremely loud at times. The beds were clean but just not to my comfort level as they were very firm. The second bed my daughter slept in had a hole with part of a spring sticking out of the side. Overall, the hotel was clean, in a decent spot, and not the worst by any means for the short bits of time we were actually there, just not the room we'd like to be in ever again. I also didn't turn in the complaints to the hotel staff since we were always in a rush, and I'm not typically a complainer over discomforts of this type."

"The lamp shades were broken, there was a light bulb missing in one of the bedside light fixtures, there was candy on the floor under the night stand and the walls were all dinged and marked up. "

"This hotel was perfect. The room was spacious, comfortable, and so clean. The staff was so friendly and professional. And the location was perfect. There was a walking nature trail behind the hotel and it was beautiful to walk while the sun went down. We would definitely stay here again."

"I literally seen a roach, the shower head was hanging on by dear life. Cabinets chipped. My door didn’t close all the way at the bottom."

"We had a good stay at the Best Western Independence Kansas City location. -Ms. Katie was awesome. She made check-in super easy after a long drive, she was very helpful with getting us extra towels, and re-programing our key card when it no longer worked for our room. -The breakfast attendant (Sorry, I didn't get her name) that was working Sunday morning made us fell welcomed by engaging in small talk with us. Breakfast was a normal hotel complimentary breakfast - but was still nice and hot. -Our room was clean for the most part, we did see some vanilla wafers in a corner of the room, a random dirty sock near the bed, and a dirty washcloth hanging in the shower. Overall, we had a good stay and enjoyed ourselves. "

"The bedroom was super small. The bed was only a queen bed. It was supposed to be a king bed. The elevator is barely worked to only one of them worked, and it was really slow for the price. It definitely was not worth it."
