The location and hotel itself are great. Shower, beds and staff were good. However, my sister and I were traveling alone and there were a lot of young men hanging around surrounding businesses. They were loud and just hanging out until at least midnight or later. Felt a bit sketchy.

The bed was comfy and clean Bathroom clean Was extremely hot in the room no air conditioning or fan. Unable to open the window due to the Noise from the bar below till very late and there were early morning revellers at the bus terminal across the road at 4am Location to the transport system was very good and easy walk into the centre

Convenient location to the Caen rental car offices

If it's convenience to the train station and rental car offices you need, this could be the right place for you. It was easy to find and just a few doors down to all of the major car rental offices. It is practical and good for a one night stay. You can add a breakfast for a reasonable fee. The check-in host was fluent in both French and English.

The room was fine, newly renovated, clean, but the rest if the place needs a good cleaning. The attendant was efficient and welcoming. The neighborhood residents hung out, talking very loud most of the night. When we finally got to sleep, we were awakened by an ambulance attending to an OD below our window. We selected this place because it appeared decent in the pictures, it was close to the car rental and we had an early morning train. Given the ease of the public transportation, my suggestion is to look elsewhere.

Traveling on business and stayed there as many of the hotels in town were fully booked. You get what you pay for. It’s a small basic hotel that does the job for a quick overnight stay. There wasn’t anyone at the counter when I came in so had to ring the bell. Someone eventually came to serve me and he was nice and quickly gave me my key to the room. Can’t say much more about the service as didn’t see anyone after that. Pros - room overall was clean - bed was comfortable . Cons - bad area of the city. A lot of people hanging out and doing drugs around the hotel. Would avoid going out at night - no AC - no elevator - foul odor coming from the bathroom

Great place to spend the night after arriving on the train. There were a lot of stairs to my room, and the room was a bit small, but otherwise a great place to stay.

Mary's hotel is well located across the road from the train station and tram stop. The room was clean and well presented and the bed was comfortable. Mary the host, was very welcoming. We would stay here again.

I can't sleep 2 night because too much noise some times door is nocked. I Don't know what happened.. Its not a good hotel.. Avoid this.

Super clean and very helpful staff. All we needed for a short stay and very handy for public transport links. The area is a bit grubby like all stations but once inside you are safe and it’s very quiet. Extra points for the service which was over and above.

The fellow at the desk was so helpful. The place was a good deal for the price. It was very clean. We were close to the bus station. Not much for close restaurants. The sushi place next door was good though.

Mary is a Saint

Nice homey hotel. A few hundred meters directly sycamore across from the Caen train station crosswalk. - Food, shopping, walking near by - Quiet and peaceful - Fluent English and French spoken This is an old-school, traditional French hotel, clean, friendly, with no elevator, AC, or bell hop. Stayed during a record breaking heat wave and it was comfortable. Ask Mary for the local map and have her mark the train tracks and hotel.

Clean and comfortable hotel in Caen!

Stayed two nights at Hotel Mary’s. The staff were very helpful and willing to call taxis etc. Although I travelled alone I booked a double room. It was quite small for two people, but fine for me. The room had good facilities with everything you could need. The bed was very comfortable and I slept very well on both nights. Everything was extremely clean, especially the bathroom! Fantastic shower, powerful and hot! I would recommend this hotel to anyone who needs a reasonably priced hotel in Caen!
