I've been here a number of times for work and it's my go-to place if I'm working in that area. It always feels really chilled and the restaurant is excellent with a range of Scottish and seafood dishes and delicious vegetarian options too. I'll definitely be back again.

The Spa was way too busy. It was impossible to get access to the outdoor hot tubs as people got in early and never left them for the whole session. If you're driving from the Glasgow direction it's best to take the second Cairndow exit, as the hotel is very close to that end. If you enter from the first turn you have to drive a longer distance on a narrow single-track road.

The hotel is loch-side, but toward one end. Given recent weather patterns, this unfortunately meant that the water was quite low and the view was spoiled by the sludgy residue that stretched for a good distance from the normal shore.
