"We loved our four days at the Fitzroy Island resort . It’s clean and semi modern enough to feel a little pampered but relaxed enough to walk around in bathers and wetsuits with snorkels on top of your head .
We went in July and the pool was too cold to use unfortunately, as it looked great . We snorkelled two or three hours a day and saw Turtles, reef fish , a Lion fish , Nemo , Stingrays . Reef sharks , even a bait ball !

"Rooms were nicely decorated however for a 5* resorts I was expecting the bathrooms to be modern and beautiful. They were not! And also we found (we had 3 rooms) mould in all showers. Reception and staff from La Mesa were very friendly however staff at the pool bar were not nice and cocktails were not up to the quality we expected from again a 5* resort. Very noisy due to school hols and kids take over all amenities. We will not be back as it didn’t provide value for our money and it was not a 5*...

"Ok apartment, but Studio Apartments 1-4 are in one block in a row overlooking pool and common kitchen - walls are thin and not sound-proof. Tropical tree-line surroundings are nice. Shower is big Yay. Location a 10 min walk to Williams Esplanade, Palm Cove - NOTE that Expedia Picture Titled "Exterior" IS NOT the PALM COVE STUDIO APARTMENTS - THAT SHOULD BE REMOVED AS IT IS MIS-LEADING! Also, our couch needs some steam cleaning - ooh. [FYI other sites have used the same picture BUT it is not...

"The staff we checked in with were amazing. Our luggage had been left behind at Melbourne airport and the staff were so accommodating and helped us with supplies of amenities that we needed while we waited for our luggage to arrive. The staff"
