The 2 bedrooms apartment we stayed is quite big but the dishwasher didn't work. Bathrooms can do with some updates. The property had a very strong cleaning agent smell.

NO WIFI! In this day and age, not providing WiFi when you cater to travelers is a deal breaker. It is a necessity! Just appalled by this. Apartment is ok at best. Necessities are provided, but it is a very basic place. TV remote needs replaced. Very very little natural light…you need to have all the lights on all the time. Not the owners fault…just a really bad design. Dark as a dungeon. Furniture is fine…bathrooms need serious attention. The mold and corrosion is quite icky.

We had five family members. We reached Cairns at around 9 am and asked for early check in ! While declined to accet early check in , then asked to keep the luggages / waiting room , but refused as there is no such facilities ! This is not good

The apartments are clean but very basic - certainly no frills and a bit soulless. It was quite noisy, with lots of traffic noise, planes overhead and other residents. It's not very central; a solid 30 minute walk to the centre, and part of it is quite dark at night so if you don't have a car I think it would be inconveniently located. Also, there is no wifi (apparently there is wifi in the 'common area' on the ground floor, but it didn't work for us at all and even if it did, I don't know where you would sit in that space to use it) and we all struggled even with our phone data, so that was a bit annoying.

Unfortunately my last stay at Edge Apartments was disappointing! We were there with family from NSW to see my son March for Anzac Day . The apartment we got for 4 adults was smelly especially in the second bedroom! Also the outside lighting lit up this room every night which made it hard to get to sleep ! Beds requested wasn’t met ! My husband & I had to sleep in single beds! The furnishing is dated & not modern like I have had before ! Our remote control for the undercover car park never worked & our car had to be parked outside ! I messaged the caretaker but every time I went passed the office it was closed ! I was sent a message by him to say he was in the complex but we were out all day sight seeing ! After the battery was replaced on our last day there the remote still did not work ! Did some washing & the lint compartment was full as & looked like it had never been cleaned! The dryer is noisy & I think the drum is scraping the sides . On a positive note the apartment is a generous size and was equipped with all the basic necessities ! Sorry My feedback is not the best !

The property is overall decent and It is situated in a decent location, however the building design lets in down. The fan for the aircon units sits in the indoor covered area which blows hot air when it’s already hot enough in Cairns.

The apartment was really nice, well-equipped, and comfortable. The absolute deal breaker for us was the lack of Wi Fi coupled with only intermittent mobile phone signal. This resulted in us being several times huddled together outside under umbrellas at night trying to book tours and manage flights and hire car bookings... Would have given excellent rating but for this! Our group had 4 mobiles, 1 laptop, 2 tablets and 2 ereaders - which were mostly useless bricks at this location.
