Great base for seeing Tuscany

A lovely relaxing stay at the Il Molendino B&B. The beautiful property is located well for easy car travel to see Lucca, Pisa and with a 'have car and map mentality' it is easy accessible for Florence, San Gimignano, Volterra, Siena, Monteriggioni etc. We travelled as a couple with our 3 yr old daughter (British with husband that speaks Italian). Fabiola and Stefano are very welcoming and were happy to accommodate our Dtrs allergy needs where possible. We stayed in the Pietraia suite as it was our anniversary, which has a romantic traditionally styled feel with seating area and wood burner. Breakfast had a good selection always with a Fabiola home baked Italian cake - forget the waist line as they are delicious!!! If you want a special meal def recommend Ristorante Il Coventino - it has beautiful views outside and the food was fantastic. On our return home even our house flood couldn't take away what a lovely break we had!!

Unique place

The house is from the 13-th centiry. So it is an unique experience. It is in a quiet village. Ypu can enjoy the nature there. The hosts are fantastic. It is a very magical, calm, relaxing place.

Netter Aufenthalt!

Nette Gastgeber, Haus mit Charme und großem Garten. Gute Ausflugsmöglichkeiten nach Lucca und Pisa und schöne Wege zum spazieren gehen rund ums Haus ! Ein toller Tip vom Gastgeber zum nahegelegenen Restaurant ( Trattoris di montemagno) der 2. Tip war leider ein totaler Reinfall und nicht zu empfehlen ( trattoria da Ginotto)

Verzorgd en Idyllisch

Het was onze 1e ervaring met een B&B.....en deze was fantastisch te noemen. Wij verbleven in de suite en dit was precies zoals op de foto's...Prachtig dus!! Ook de eigenaren waren zeer vriendelijk en haar zelf gebakken broodjes en taartjes waren heerlijk!! Een bakker is er niks bij. Kortom een grote aanrader als uitval basis naar Lucca en Pisa en eventuele andere toscaanse plaatsen.

Tyst, lugnt och trivsamt

Rummet var rent och trevligt inrett. Badrummet var i korridoret med ett annat rum. Men det var inget då vi fick ha badrummet för oss själva. B&B låg mycket avskilt, vilket gjorde att det var tyst och man fick en bra natts sömn. Det var gångavstånd till byn. Vi åt på en lokal restaurang med god mat till mycket förmånligt pris. Frukosten var smaklig, kanske lite fattig med Skandinaviska mått mätt, men det serverades nybakade bakelser och färska frukter. Stället drevs av ett par, som var jätte trevliga och gästvänliga. Rekommenderas för personer och familjer, som vill ha något lite pittoreskt och lugnt med en familjär känsla. Personer med rörelsehinder ska ej överväga detta ställe.

Familiäres Hotel an ruhiger Lage in Stadtnähe

Sehr gemütliches Hotel mit sehr Italienischem Flair. Das Hotel befindet sich in einer sehr ruhigen Gegend, ca 25 Autominuten von Pisa entfernt. Das Ehepaar welches die Zimmer anbietet ist sehr freundlich und Hilfsbereit. Das im Preis inbegriffene Morgenessen ist gut gehalten. Auf Wunsch kann mann fast alles haben.

Absolutely Charming

Perfect location. Old flour mill converted to a B&B set by the creek and an olive grove. Owners are lovely friendly people. Room was very clean and well apppointed. This was our favorite location on our 9 day tour of Northern Italy.

Ambiente familiare

Sono stato nell'appartamento: un bell'ambiente con salottino, area pranzo con cucina dotata di tutti gli elettrodomestici. Nell'ampio soppalco il letto matrimoniale. In più c'è una camera separata con 2 letti singoli e armadio, un bagno con doccia, ed una bellissima veranda di pertinenza dell'appartamento. Il tutto fa parte di un vecchio mulino, abbastanza vicino al centro di Calci ma immerso nel verde e nella tranquillità. L'ambiente è familiare, i proprietari ci hanno accolto con calore e ci hanno fatto sentire a nostro agio. Consigliato!

nella scoperta delle emozioni, sapori e sensazioni

Abbiamo cercato un posto della Toscana, un po' meno affollato, ma altrettanto affascinante e ricco di storia e arte. Qui i castagni e gli ulivi fanno da padroni. Alloggio si trova in una zona immersa nel verde, quindi ideale chi cerca un po' di pace e silenzio. L'appartamento era pulito, accogliente, arredato con gusto. Stefano e Fabiola erano gentilissimi e sempre a nostra disposizione: dall'indicarci dove trovare la tipica cucina toscana, cosa vedere nelle vicinanze, dove acquistare un buon olio, loro "oro verde". Eravamo vicinissimi alla Certosa di Pisa che al suo interno ospita anche Il Museo di Storia Naturale che è tra l'altro uno tra i più antichi musei del mondo. Non potendo visitare però anche il resto della Certosa, non ci rimane che tornare, per poter ammirare anche le bellezze del suo museo storico e artistico. Ma torneremo anche per tanti altri motivi: per scoprire ancora questa parte della Toscana meno conosciuta, con le sue pievi romaniche, conventi ed eremi, i piccoli borghi dove ancora regna il silenzio e dove il tempo sembra essersi fermato... Forse torneremo di nuovo anche per poter scambiare ancora qualche parola con sig. Stefano Giannantonio, incontrato a Marina di Pisa col suo cavalletto, che dipinge ancora con la stessa passione, da 25anni i paesaggi di queste bellissime terre. Dimenticavamo, nel borgo Bientina, potrete acquistare il cioccolato artigianale TRINCI, il più buono che abbiamo mai potuto assaggiare, ma questa è un'altra storia...

Tolle Unterkunft mit viel Charme

Für alle, die das Aussergewöhnliche lieben, fernab vom Massentourismus. Wunderschöner Familienbetrieb in ländlicher Idylle gelegen. Liebevoll eingerichtete Zimmer. Sehr freundlicher Empfang und super Betreuung. Das hausgemachte Frühstück war köstlich. Alles in allem ein perfekter Aufenthalt.
