"Clean room "

"I have requested for the top floor, but they couldn’t fulfill my request, but gave me the second floor. I was ok with it, until 9:45pm bedtime came I heard the kids running back and forth up on the top floor for almost 30 minutes or so. And I was very annoyed by it. I have an elderly mom who is very tired and wants to get some rest. Also, the microwave in our room was not working. It was not heating up and I didn’t really have time to bother with it because we were in a rush to go to our son’s baseball game. "

"Got here with clear expectations of an “in”. The main issue was the plumbing was kind of loud, so when other rooms are showering, you can hear it in the middle of the night. "

"This hotel installed portable AC and it is a little noisy. Also, our room has partial view of the sand/beach, but it also means facing the highway 1 & street. It’s noisy due to loud traffic. We’re on the second floor and the people on the 3rd floor have kids running around, it’s super loud. The hotel wall is still thin so it’s very easy to hear noises. We booked 3 nights for our anniversary at this hotel. We drove 6.5 hours to the hotel, feeling exhausted but we couldn’t close our eyes due to the noisy tenants above us. We asked the front desk for help and see if we can move to a different room but they said they don’t have any other room available. I am a light sleeper and I couldn’t sleep for 2 night straight. Due to lack of sleep, I couldn’t function normally and skipped all the fun activities that we planned for our vacation. Thus, we decided to cut our vacation short and check out the very next morning after our second night. We didn’t get refund for our 3rd night but at least we got some rest at home. We visited Monterey several times but we never experienced loud noises in a hotel like this trip. "

"Description states that there’s a breakfast — there is not. Brown bags with granola bars and a banana are available for pickup; there’s a single pot of coffee on the counter. "

"You get what you pay for, basic room, a fridge is extra $ if you want one. "

"Too expensive for a 1 to 2 star hotel Not sugar, or cream for coffee no bottle waters to make good coffee because water in Monterey area is terrible "

"We booked a queen bed but walked into a room with a full bed. Air conditioning did not work very well unless you open up a window but that beats the purpose of the air conditioner. Few interesting stains in various spots around the room. TV was not working properly either. Not a horrible spot if you’re just planning on spending 1 night. Pros are that the beach is in walking distance and there’s plenty of stores to grab food and whatnot in walking distance as well."
