Great Place To Stay In Calistoga!

I would definitely stay here again. The continental breakfast was full of fresh fruit, pastries and yogurt and literally waiting at your door first thing in the morning. The bed was extremely comfortable. The room faced a busy street but there were no issues with traffic noises at all. Lots of great restaurants, cafes and shops within walking distance. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Please check them out.

Quaint!

We loved staying here. Great location!!! Easy to find your way around. The bed was in a little alcove and there was a comfy couch to sit on in a sitting room. We would stay again, but if you have mobility issues, carrying your bags up a steep flight of stairs would be hard. And stepping over and into the large soaking tub could be a challenge. It's an old building but efforts have been made to make the rooms appealing and they have succeeded.

Cute hotel

Nice hotel above restaurant. The stairs were a slight challenge, but good for exercise. The breakfast basket was ok. We like meat for breakfast anyway, but fruit was nice.

Unorthodox, lovely, convenient, clean, affordable.

We never interacted with a human at this hotel. We received instructions via email and were able to get into the room without problem. The room was lovely, incredibly convenient, lovely, private, quiet, clean. Everything you could want. The restaurant downstairs is WONDERFUL! Would love to stay here again!

In the Heart of Calistoga

It was a little weird not having to check in and out, but it was a very nice hotel. The restaurant next was awesome with the best steak I have had in a long time. Only drawback was the breakfast. There was no juice and no paper which was supposed to be provided. The stairs kept me in shape and would be difficult for an older person. Other than that it was a great stay!

Great Place To Stay

My husband and I stayed four nights. We were very happy with this BB. It really wasn't your typical BB, you stay in one of four individual apartments above the restaurant in the downtown area. No kitchen but did have a mini frig. The breakfast was wonderful. Each day they delivered fresh baked pastries and fruit. The bed was comfortable and the facility was quite upstairs. My only complaint would be the wood blinds didn't keep out enough light in the morning to assist with sleeping in. The restaurant below was delicious but pricey. We would definitely stay there again next time we visit.

27 steps up

Not for a couple in their mid sixties with heavy suitcases. 27 steps up and no elevator. need I say more. great location to visit Napa Valley but overpriced in my opinion. $262/night (includes tax) is a bit much for what you get.

Very quaint hotel

Hotel sits above the restaurant, private entrance. Very quiet rooms are clean and nice size. Excellent hotel and superb location would definitely stay there again.

Romantic weekend in Calistoga

The hotel is in an excellent location. It was very clean and comfortable with some good pastries to start your day. As long as the guests are aware that this is not a hotel with a check in counter (which we were) you will be fine. There is an emergency number and the restaurant downstairs can help you if you need anything. I would recommend this hotel and would not hesitate to stay there again.

Great hotel atlhough unusual set up (no front desk

The hotel is in a great location, right on the main street in Calistoga, within walking distance to Indian Springs spa and many restaurants and shops. The room was quite comfortable, with a queen bed and a sitting area with a couch and TV (wish the TV was facing the bed..). There is no front desk or any staff - they email you the door code to get into the hotel (I missed the email, so had to call the main number and they helped me get in). In the morning a basket of baked goods, fruit juice and ground coffee is delivered to your room. The D'Amici restaurant downstairs is wonderful (the pan seared trout was to die-for). Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in Calistoga.

Hidden Gem in Calistoga

We loved this hotel. It was not fussy at all. Perfect for me and my husband who do not spend much time in our hotel room but need good accommodations when we are there. There is not front desk or check-in reception person which kinda sounds odd but it really is not necessary. All the info is communicated to you in advance and everything is just as it is described and there are only 4 rooms so it makes it very quaint. We never saw another guest the two nights we were there. We enjoyed it thoroughly and will be back for sure.

Great location with clean rooms.

It was a little strange not having staff when we arrived and our name on the door, but realized quickly where our room was. I would highly reccommend this hotel.

Don't Miss Out!

This was a wonderful B&B. Perfect location, right in downtown Calistoga and able to walk to everything. Room very clean, with modern bathroom. All amenities thought of down to soaps, cotton balls, air freshener, complimentary wine, daily water bottles, etc. As far as those who complain about the 1 1/2 flight of stairs, the exercise will do you good after eating at all the wonderful restaurants in town. It is true that there is no check person around, but you don't need one. The D'Amici sends an email with everything you need to know and it is quite simple to let yourself in. A basket of baked goods with fruit & juice is left at your door every morning at 8:00 am and your room is always clean and fresh when you return later in the day. I think there are little elves making it a wonderful place to stay. If you have time, eat at their restaurant downstairs, it is amazing. If you don't stay here, you are missing out on a special treat at a great price!

Great stay in wine country.

Great room and a great street to stay on in the northern end of wine country. The breakfast basket each morning with lots of coffee for the in-room brewer was a great start to each day. Will return next time in the Napa area for sure.

Fastest check-in is when there is NO check-in!!

We picked the Hotel D'amici in Calistoga CA for its 'northern end of the valley' location on our trip to Napa Valley. We could not have been more pleased with our choice! The room was amazing. The only reason we gave a 4 for hotel service instead of a 5 is that there really is no service to speak of...and none is required! What could be nicer than not having to wait in line at check in for a hotel! We literally parked our car out front on Lincoln Ave, walked up the stairs, and into our beautiful room! The keys were waiting for us, along with our complimentary wine, bottled water, and the most luxurious room. The sofa was comfortable for unwinding with cable television in the evening, the bathroom and huge tub is to die for, and the bed heavenly! And every morning, a huge basket of fresh baked goods and fruit and drink was waiting outside our door! The room was sunny and warm if you wanted it, yet the A/C was perfect after a hot day in the valley. And you can't get much more quiet with only 4 rooms in the Hotel! Don't pass up the free tasting at the Pestoni family vinyard, Rutherfor Grove, either! When they heard we were staying at the hotel, they gave us extra special treatment! Silvia, the owner, even talked to us, asking us about our stay...it was a privilege to tell her how much we enjoyed it! Our only regret was not eating at the restaurant downstairs, sorry...'Ristorante'. They are closed on Mondays, but we will for sure next time!

Great place to vacation

Calistoga is a great place to stay when visiting Napa Valley. For a small town there are plenty of great places to eat, shop, and hang out and it's much quieter than some of the bigger towns which is great for relaxing. The hotel was very comfortable and we really appreciated the privacy. The breakfast basket delivered each morning was fantastic and we looked forward to it every night. About the only thing we didn't like about the room was the water pressure in the shower. All in all, that was a small thing and we'd stay at the hotel again.

Great Room & Location

We were very pleasantly surprised with both the location of the hotel, and the room. The bed was very comfortable, the bathtub was perfect, it was quiet, and there were many extra touches that added to our stay. We loved it, and would definitely come back.
