"We stayed at hotel La Vela while attending a wedding nearby. We were more than pleasantly surprised by the hotel itself. It was in an excellent location within the town, on a quiet street a couple of minutes walk from the historic center & lake. Rooms were clean with a balcony & nice bathroom & beds very comfortable. "This is a rare find; a 13th century castello, lovingly restored and converted into comfortable and atmospheric apartments. There are magnificent views across Umbria. You are within reach of Spoleto and Foligno. Only problem; finding it. I strongly suggest that anyone booking it should make sure they get a precise map, because it is in the middle of nowhere. Worse, the map given on the hotels.com page puts it in the wrong place, (there's a cemetery there instead) which cost me 45 minutes of...

"Very good welcome and services. Fabulous restaurant. Very nice and pretty decoration and garden. But noisy and no cooling devise in bedroom so have to open window on the road side so very noisy. Pity because with cooling device it would have been almost perfect."
