"Our stay at Villa Il Castello was perfect in every way and I would highly recommend this Villa to everyone who wants to stay in Tuscany. From this Villa we were easily able to do day trips to Arezzo, Florence and Rome, but also spend days at the Villa enjoying the pool and the property or several villages nearby. "We had an incredible time here. The views from the poolside are fantastic. Rafaelo and Marina are such a lovely couple and made us feel very welcome! There is a winery next door with free wine tasting - we just turned up and they took us in for a lovely tasting and short tour! Castiglion Fiorentino is a short 15 minute drive where there are supermarkets, bakeries and a delicious pizzeria called Fratelli D'impasto! The drive up to the villa is a steep one, so be prepared for that, but the pay off...

"Very nice Villa with a big pool and a jacuzzi. Road to the Villa is a twisty mountainroad. It takes about 20 minutes to Cortona. I can recommend this if you are prepared to drive a bit to any village. Big pool is nice for children and over all the Villa is well equipped. "

"The propriety is one of the nicest I’ve stayed at. Very relaxing atmosphere, comfortable large pool area. Breakfast and lunch options are delicious. Room was very comfortable and spacious. The only problem I experienced was both adjacent rooms were smokers and did so on their patios. We couldn’t enjoy our patio or leave our do open while they were doing so. The property has a health spa and other wellbeing activities, but allows smoking on the property. I would consider this next time. "
