EVOLUTION Cascais-Estoril Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"The Hotel was a clean and modern hotel. Staff were excellent and very helpful. The only issue(s) I had were the following:- - not much gluten free food available even when I had informed them previously - I had to ask each morning and was told they don't have any but then they took out some bread, however, the roof top restaurant were very accommodating and ensured there was the gluten free roll available for the Lobster roll which was fab! - They charge on room service which we didn't expect as no other hotel charges for this service - I had to ask for milk for tea/coffee in room and was told to get this from the bar otherwise I would have to pay for this if ordered via room service. Plus had to ask for tea bags. - Breakfast could have been hotter but otherwise it was nice. - The nearby beach was not too bad, except if you wanted to lay on the nice beach bed with umbrella, you had to pay 70 Euros! Other than these few issues, we really thought the hotel was great, the food on the rooftop restaurant and service was fabulous. The italian restaurant Lamassa was fabulous! I would recommend this Hotel as it was nice and clean, staff were very helpful, but ensure they top up the milk/tea/coffee when you stay."

"Good hotel in the heart of Cascais. It's more of 3.5 Star than 4 Star hotel. The building is from the 60s, but the rooms and bathrooms are all renovated. Staff are super nice and multilingual and helpful. Stretch of road in front of the hotel and especially the adjacent underground parking is always busy especially on weekends. The closest public beach is across the street. The restaurant and the breakfast is good, but could be better. Street view rooms don't have much of a view. My Expedia Platinum status didn't give us a room upgrade!"

"One of the more delightful experiences while traveling the coast of Portugal. We had a room overlooking the sea and the view couldn't have been more magical. We felt so at peace. The staff couldn't do enough for us and the breakfast on the patio overlooking the sea was delicious. The hotel is absolutely historically beautiful. I would not miss this hotel while traveling through Portugal!"

"Maintenance was wonderful but the front desk was not approachable/customer friendly. I had read such wonderful reviews and was excited to stay slightly outside the busy district but I don’t know if it was worth it. Keep in mind the nearest train station is a 20 minute walk which wasn’t terrible."
