This Hotel is in the middle of nowhere. Taxis wont even come here. If you wanted a drink at the bar you had to go to the dining room. Breakfast was a disgrace, you could not eat it and when you said anything to the staff, they could not speak any English. They charged for the swimming pool which was up a dirt track a good distance from the Hotel

DAS PERSONAL ist extrem unfreundlich. Der WELLNESSBEREICH kostet 35 Euro pro Person und Nutzung und besteht aus zwei Minisaunen für je 3 Leute und einem kleinen Schwimmbecken. Ist in Expedia nicht als kostenpflichtig gekennzeichnet. Zitat Hotelmitarbeiter "... es steht ja auch nicht da, dass es nichts kostet." Expedia hat bisher auf mehrfache Beschwerde nicht reagiert. Die ZIMMER sind sehr unterschiedlich. Zunächst bekamen wir ein extrem dunkles, kleines Raucherzimmer. Auf Nachfrage wurde uns ein schöneres Zimmer gegeben. Fernseher und Programme kaum brauchbar, Bett mit Wolldecke in Leintuch. Sauberkeit ist akzeptabel, allerdings ist alles recht alt. Das FRÜHSTÜCK ist Mittelmaß. Der Kaffe am Buffet ist gruselig, auf Anfrage bekommt man aber einen Cappuccino. Schlechte Backwaren, kaum Käse und Wurst Auswahl. Man kann was essen, aber ein Genuss ist es nicht. Die ANLAGE ist interessant. Altes Burg im Backsteinstil. Historisch interessant, aber nicht zum wohlfühlen oder irgendwo schön sitzen und ein Buch lesen. Für Veranstaltungen scheint es besser geeignet.

Castello bellissimo!

Il castello è bellissimo, ben tenuto, molto comoda la stanza, ampia, bagno bello. Colazione a buffet molto varia e ottimo tè. Il ristorante "Al Torchio che c'è vicino al castello è completamente da evitare per il cibo pessimo e i prezzi altissimi, essendo a Carimate non c'è granchè da vedere, a parte Lecco che non è cmq vicinissimo...se uno abita vicino e vuole farsi una serata romantica, stando lì va benissimo, altrimenti per vacanze lunghe lo sconsiglio, per la posizione un po' " lontano da tutto". non molto da vedere nelle passeggiate nei dintroni del castello. Al castello 10 e lode, alla posizione...decisamente meno.

ce n'est pas un 4 etoiles!!!!

L'architecture du chateau est magnifique. Cependant la chambre est amenagee de facon tres basique. Cela ne va pas du tout avec le style de l'hotel. Le lit est immense et confortable. La Salle de Bain est au niveau d'un hotel 2 ou 3 etoiles maximum. Vielle baignoire qui fuit, vieux rideau sale... Le Spa n'est pas compris dans le prix de la chambre. On n'a pas pu me donner une facture quand je suis partie car j'avais reserve sur Hotels.com... Decue dans l'ensemble. Cet hotel a ses hotels seulement pour son exterieur. L'entretien et la salle de bain devrait le downgrader a un hotel 3 etoiles max.

L'albergo è sicuramente suggestivo, e le camere adeguate. L'unico problema il ristorante dell'albergo chiuso e quello convenzionato un po' pretenzioso e caro.

Fantastic experience an ambiance

Our booking had not been received but the gentleman receiving us was happy to follow up and accommodate us. When the bellboy took us to our allocated room it had not been cleaned from previous occupation. He did not falter rang the front desk and we were upgraded to a massive suite with balcony overlooking the castle drawbridge and feature fountain. On returning downstairs later the receiving clerk apologised for the situation and stated that our booking had been stuck in the fax machine. Overall a great stay, beautiful grounds. Restaurant a bit pricey but definitely five star and fantastic food and service. You do get what you pay for and considering the room was a reasonable price we were extremely happy.

un cadre fabuleux, au calme, à proximité des lacs

Inoubliables, on découvre ce château au dernier moment en arrivant sur la place du village, et on a un peu le souffle coupé. La gastronomie est à la hauteur, nonobstant des petits déjeuners pantagruéliques en terrasse à faire pâlir des quatre étoiles dans tous les domaines.

Consigliato questo albergo per le coppie. Bellissimo soggiorno! Le stanze sono moderne ma la struttura antica e molto accogliente.

Un soggiorno gradevole ma non indimenticabile

Il castello è imponente dall'esterno anche se ci sono delle torrette in riparazione ma all'interno in alcuni corridoi si notano crepe e macchie di umidità. Ci è stata assegnata una camera squallida e piccola ma dietro ns. richiesta ci è stata cambiata in una molto più ampia e confortevole, con una bella vista e un meraviglioso camino. L'hotel mi sembra non ristrutturato bene e un po' lasciato andare tranne le stanze affrescate dove comunque ci sono dei salottini. Il personale mi sembra molto ridotto, di sera non c'è il servizio bar e c'era il portiere di notte che a malapena parlava italiano pur se molto gentile. Il servizio non è 4 stelle, l'atmosfera non è quella che ti fa venir voglia di tornare. Inoltre la piscina è al vicino golf club ma costa 20 euro, la colazione 12 (non è eccezionale) e la SPA 25 euro per due ore.

Superbe hôtel dans un château parfaitement restauré et entretenu. Seul point noir : Pas de restauration (hors petit déjeuner) et pas de bar.. La piscine serait un plus

Hotellet var annonsert med basseng som var stengt, men egentlig ikke tillhørte hotellet, men en golfklubb ved siden av. Hotellets restaurant var stengt, nærmeste restaurant var 2 km unna. Utpå kvelden begynte flere gjester å bestille Pizza. Varmt soverom.

unforgettable stay of alife time.Havev travelled and stayed all over world but nothing like this.Draw bridge and all a really incridible place to stay.Quiet area a car a must.Half a mile away train station 3.00 us dollars ow 40 minutes to milan we did quite easily.Grounds hotel rms all spectacular.Manager and employees extremely helpful in any way.Most deffinetly well be back.Breakfast was great as well.

Très bon accueil

Très bon accueil, personnel chaleureux et serviable. Excellent emplacement : face au départ pour les Iles Borromées et en plein centre ville. Parking gratuit à 100 m de l'hôtel. Dommage que le sac poubelle de la salle de bains n'ait pas été changé...

Прекрасный замок

Останавливались в отеле 11-15 апреля 2013г. для посещения выставки Isaloni. До выставки на машине всего 30-35 минут. До озера Комо 20 минут (но мы так до него и не доехали). Замок произвел очень приятное впечатление. При подъезде к нему чувствуется его величественность и история, а номера - в современном стиле, что интересно. А датируется он 12 веком. Замок принадлежал семье Висконти, здесь охотились знатные особы. Во время Великой отечественной войны его оккупировали немцы, потом там было партизанское движение. В наше время там была даже звукозаписывающая студия. (Это все можно узнать из брошюры). Стоянка при отеле бесплатна, только надо подождать, пока опустится ограждающий столбик в землю. Каждое утро слышен звон колоколов близлежащей церкви. Ходили на ужин в ресторан - очень все достойно и достаточно вкусно. Завтраки, конечно, несколько слабоваты, но в целом, все очень понравилось.

It's a REAL CASTLE!

This is a real castle! You expect Robin Hood to appear at any moment.It's just a great setting. I would definitely recommend this hotel. The room was clean, the service was good, but the breakfast was ordinary. the diningroom was kind of pricey; I'd recommend eating in Como instead.

Super lækkert hotel i norditalien

Hotellet udmærker sig ved at have en høj grad af stil, karisma og sjæl. Det er en gammel borg som er istandsat og moderniseret. En skøn beliggenhed og meget stilrene værelser - med mange arkitoniske finesser - en oplevelse som jeg vil anbefale til alle. Bemærk de har forskellige typer af værelser tal evt med dem om hvilken stil /type som passer jer :)

Fantastic Location with Excellent Service

We stayed at Castello Di Carimate for 3 nights. Everyone was helpful and welcoming. The hotel is a wonderful piece of history and has been tastefully renovated leaving some pieces of history. The restaurant was fantastic for evening meals and the breakfast buffet on the terrace was lovely. We had a massage and used the spa which is beautiful. The gardens were wonderful for a walk in the sun and showed off the beauty of the castle. We used the swimming pool in the joining golf course and sun bathed for an afternoon. The location is fantastic as we got a taxi to Lake Como which was not expensive and was organised by the hotel. The only negative we had was with a problem with the door in one of our rooms however this was quickly resolved. A fantastic location and would highly recommend.

week end di coppia

Un tuffo nel medioevo, ottima location per un gradevole week end in coppia,le camere nell'area nuova sono molto comode e ben arredate. Colazione più che sufficiente, personale molto gentile e attento, il ristorante un po troppo austero e silenzioso, meglio uscire fuori nel borgo accanto al castello. Bello il centro wellness ma solo su prenotazione.
