After reading some really negative reviews I wasn't expecting much but was more than pleasantly surprised by how nice it actually is. I was disappointed to hear that they’re stopping food in the hotel as the food was good and it will only be continental breakfast although the pastries were lovely but when you go away a cooked breakfast is always good the next morning."

"We had a lovely room with a large bathtub. The bed was very comfortable. The town lost power but we still had hot water which was awesome as it allowed us to have hot showers in the morning. They also made arrangements for a complimentary hot breakfast our second morning when the power was back on. Holly was excellent and enabled us to check in even without the power. "The hotel was spotless warm and welcoming. We came out of season which was nice. It was quiet and peaceful. There are spectacular views of the Loch and mountains. Our room had an outdoor space looking into the Loch where swans came to say hello. In the evening we sat down for a meal seated near the window. Staff were polite and knowledgeable about the hotels history. Food was tasty and well presented. We will be returning in the summer. "
