"Location was perfect for walks we wanted to do (including Merrick). Accommodation was new and so in perfect order. I had asked before arrival if bedding was included since the photos didn't show. Answer came back yes. What they didn't tell me at that point was that towels/shower gel/dish towels were not included and so we wasted time going into town to spend £34 on towels. Reception did promise my wife a dish towel so we could dry their cups and plates , but it never appeared. Just let people know what's included we were contacted several times before arriving by the agents and no actual useful info was given. Website needs updating too, don't wait for the message telling you how to access the accommodation, you won't get one."

"Parking is free and is just behind the hotel.There is some seating outside that would be nice to use in warmer weather.I loved the entry and staircase both very stylish.Check in was quick with a lovely friendly team member,our room was comfortable,everything was clean and in good condition.The restaurant was nicely decorated,staff were friendly and attentive.We dined from the special Friday evening menu,all food was delicious. We had coffee and drinks in the bar area,settees were comfortable and decor was lovely,it felt cosy and relaxed.Amazing selection of whiskey and the bartender was helpful and knowledgeable to help make a decision on which one to try.Breakfast team again were efficient and friendly and we loved the made to order breakfast which was piping hot.We had a great stay and i would absolutely return and reccomend "

"We spent a lovely spring week surrounded by daffodils and rolling Ayrshire hills. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable with space for nine at wauchope cottage, which is part of the old stable/coach house. The staff were polite and the apartment was dog friendly as long as you can keep your dog in the kitchen or hall until it dries off as the livingroom and upstairs bedrooms have light coloured carpets. Overall a lovely holiday in an area and accommodation in which we would love to stay at again."

"Splendid historic manse with large bedroom, private bathroom and lovely quiet location. A comfortable two night stay provided by a lovely host serving up a terrific breakfast and great advice for enjoying the countryside and historic houses close by. "
