"This place is a bit further out from Pisa, but we still had a really nice stay and made the most of it. It’s great value for money, which was a big plus.
The hotel itself is a little old-fashioned, but honestly, the staff more than made up for it—they were super friendly and welcoming the whole time. The restaurant was also a highlight, with really tasty food that we enjoyed a lot.
It’s a good spot if you’ve got a car and want to explore the nearby villages and surrounding area."

"We had a great stay! The room was even bigger than it looked online - lovely to have so much space! We arrived early and were able to check in just before 1pm which was amazing 🙂 30-minute walk to the Leaning Tower! "

"Nice stay, strategically positioned between Pisa and Lucca. Need a car to reach the train station. Our stay was in Autumn and we didn't try the swimming pool"

"Fabulous little hotel, very clean and comfy bed.
There was a kitchen for making tea and coffee which was supplied also crackers and biscuits available to help yourself to. A craft of wine in the room on arrival, which was a nice touch.
We had a little veranda to sit out on.
Great clear instructions on how to use the key safe on arrival. Owner also ordered our taxi for going back to the airport. Would highly recommend."

"The Villa was absolutely wonderful! Clean, comfortable and the hosts/staff could not have been more accomodating and welcoming. Highly recommend this for your stay in Tuscany!"

"A very nice experience in a lovely town. The hostess was very accomadating. She let us arrive earlier than expected and was very informative for parking. Despite it was a Saturday and a holiday it was very quiet for a good nights sleep. Coffee at breakast was some of the best around."

"Super friendly staff, room was nice and comfortable. The breakfast was great and plenty of choice for food.
We really enjoyed our stay.
Very close to Pisa s Rossore train station and that made it easy when travelling on."
"Parking was great. This is the best place to stay whilst visiting pisa expecially if you have rented a car and want to go so many places. Customer service was amazing and were able to retrieve items i left behind after checkout. Thank you again."
"This hotel was the worst experience. We got to Pisa around 9:00 PM, took a taxi to the hotel, and found nobody at the lobby because they leave at 8:00 PM. I later discovered they had sent me a message explaining how to check in by myself and that the actual room was located three blocks away from the main hotel building. When you are traveling in a foreign country with no Wi-Fi, sending a message like this the same day is completely useless. This is something guests should be clearly told before booking.
The whole point of renting a hotel instead of an Airbnb is to avoid situations where you are left to figure everything out yourself late at night in an unfamiliar place.
When we arrived, there was also an older couple there who looked terrified because it was dark and they did not understand the technology or self check-in process. After spending time helping them because we could not just ignore the situation, we started walking through dark streets with no idea where we were heading. There were groups of mostly men standing on both corners near the property, and as three women carrying heavy luggage, we immediately felt unsafe.
We ran back to the hotel and messaged the host explaining that we were scared, and their response was basically, “Pisa is very safe.” Safety is something people should always take seriously and be preventative about, especially when guests are unfamiliar with the area.
After unsuccessfully trying to get another taxi, we finally decided to walk there"
"⭐☆☆☆☆
Unfortunately, this hotel was not as advertised.
The main reason I booked this room was because the listing clearly stated that air conditioning was included. However, upon arrival, I was informed by reception that there was no AC available at all. The room became extremely hot overnight and the only option was to leave the door open, which resulted in mosquitoes and insects flying into the room and biting us throughout the night.
There were also several other issues during the stay:
• The TV did not work, even after reception attempted to fix it.
• A metal shower bracket/shelf detached and fell unexpectedly, nearly hitting my sister’s foot.
• There appeared to be no shower gel provided.
• There was only one accessible socket near the entrance of the room, which was incredibly inconvenient.
The most disappointing part was that when these issues were raised, there was no meaningful resolution offered during the stay. We were told there were no other rooms available and ultimately had to remain in a room that did not match the amenities advertised online.
The reception staff were polite, but the property itself needs significant improvements and the listing should accurately reflect what is actually provided.
If you are specifically booking for air conditioning, I would strongly recommend confirming directly with the hotel before staying."

What are holiday rentals like in Casa Baroni Sud?
Holiday rentals are privately owned properties you can book for a few days, or a quick weekend, in Casa Baroni Sud. If you're concerned about a sanitised environment, holiday rentals can offer a sense of safety away from shared hotel lifts and busy front desks while still allowing you to travel. You'll also get more space in a holiday rental than in a hotel, which makes a holiday rental an attractive option for a small group gathering.
