"Cleveland House is perfect for those who want the experience of a bed and breakfast without all of the high-end luxury amenities. First the sheets and towels were top of the line… Fine Linen. Wonderful!. The rooms were clean. The stairs are standard 19th century very narrow very steep and quite squeaky with floral carpet. No elevator! Common areas are cluttered. But the staff was top-notch and helpful and kind. As a solo traveler it was safe. Location is perfect to walk around downtown...

"Great place to stay for centralized location. Easy walking to all the tourist activities. Our room was clean and comfortable, also quite large. No elevator but it wasn't an issue. Lovely staff."

"The property was quaint, had history and was well located to town. Parking was free and convenient. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets were clean. Breakfast was diverse and of quality. What I didn't like was the obvious wear. Walls had dings. Wallpaper was torn. Furniture was old and interesting but faded and tired. We still enjoyed our stay and we would stay again."

"Wir waren mit unserer Tochter für 1 Nacht im Inn und fanden es klasse. Es war schön, sauber , wir hatten ein großes Zimmer und der freundliche Empfang hat es für uns besonders gemacht. Auch die Empfehlung für das Abendbrot war klasse und wir haben uns sehr gut unterhalten mit dem netten Herrn an der Rezeption , der uns mehr über Newport erzählen konnte. Es war spannend. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen."

"Every single thing about The Cliffside Inn was excellent. The staff were friendly, informative and accommodating. The complimentary wine and appetizers at 5pm was a lovely touch after exploring Newport and waiting to head out for dinner. One night they offered chilled shrimp! We highly recommend the inn, and hopefully we will return some day!"

"The hotel was in a great location, very close to downtown Newport, and the shuttle service made getting there even easier and more convenient. The on-site restaurant was excellent, with very good food and a great atmosphere. Our room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we would definitely stay here again."
