"This is a nice quiet hotel with a pool, which is hard to find in Avalon. It is very clean and great amenities It has a very convenient shuttle to downtown, and to the heliport and the ferry station. The very friendly drivers make a round every 15 minutes. I do wish that the hotel had full length mirrors their rooms. The restaurant on the grounds is NOT run by the hotel, but by a private company. "The view was very nice. A gull visited often, so make sure the sliding door is shut. The sliding door still sticks, so close it slowly. The bed is very comfy. It is an old building that is kind of shabby, but still clean and well kept. "

"Loved the value and the location! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Close to the boat dock and everything you need. It's only 1 block from the only grocery store on the island, Von's! The room was small but cute & next door to the oldest house on the island. The area feels very safe and has a historic vibe. We enjoyed thoroughly."
