"The property was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful, but I asked for a Mountain View room and was given a wheelchair accessible room, and there was so much noise above me that it felt like they were doing construction or there was a gym upstairs. This was a little upsetting because I had a long bike ride in the morning and that was the reason why I stayed there"

"The staff were very nice. Breakfast selection was great. The room and the bed were very comfortable. The tub did have some marks on it where the porcelain the had worn off. But overall, it was a very nice day for the price."

"Paid for a king suite with a whirlpool tub. No tub. Ila at desk very rude and said she couldn’t do anything about it because we booked through Expedia. Also charged more than the advertised rate for a pet. Hot tub was warm not hot. Pool and hot tub area not clean. Would not come there again"

"Great property and location but (not their fault) this is a loud area. Unfortunately, the HPD has their hands full with motorcycles and cars pretty much drag racing on Hwy 70 which is right by the hotel. I don't think there is really anything the hotel can do but it's a shame. I was up visiting (lived there for 15 years) so as a recent local, i'm well aware of the problem. Otherwise, highly recommend this hotel over others in the area. Always clean, nice staff, and still a good location if you need to stay in Hickory."

"The room was appearing clean. The bedspread didn't appear clean. The hair conditioner in the shower was empty. The windows were cloudy from inside the multi-pane glass. Parking was plentiful for this stay. Interesting the 'light' breakfast was on the second floor. It was good. though very little protein served. Almost all breads/carbs. Staff was friendly."

"It's always such a treat to stay here..... I literally decided to stay up in the mnts even having to drive down to Asheville for work the next morning... the place is wonderfully kept, great staff - and an amazing setting with excellent food.... Looking forward to my next visit !"
