"Only a few miles east of a main north/south road through Ames. Large rooms, comfy bed with actual king size pillows (1 feather/down & 1 fiberfill) clean room, but housekeeping only shows up if requested.in-room; disclosed at checkin. Large refrigerator had been defrosted! Internal noise abatement features worked well, but outside noise come through, and the highway is close by. Room airconditioner was operational but the thermostat was in need of a tuneup. Parking is well lit and card secured ...

"Friendly family managers greeted us at check-in. We requested a first floor room and they verified the room was clean before giving us the keys. The king bed room was large with a comfortable chair, fridge and microwave. There were nice lounge areas and chairs outside for relaxing or smoking. The breakfast was a nice set up with a hot area, waffles, drinks and cold options like yogurt. This is the nicest Ft Dodge hotel that I’ve stayed at in this price range. We will stay here again. "
