"This charming castle is truly a gem among Umbrian fields. Set on a hill, it's a very well-maintained and clean hotel, with a pool overlooking the nearby valley. "This property is in a great location, very clean, and features exceptionally comfortable bedding. However, as a converted old monastery, soundproofing is essentially nonexistent. If your room is near the dining area, you'll hear conversations late into the evening. The food was average, and service generally felt a bit unpolished. For remote workers, the internet speed is a major drawback—a large email took over an hour to upload and ended up failing. That said, I am deeply grateful to the male receptionist on duty. Seeing my struggle, he generously allowed me to use his personal mobile hotspot so I could get my work done. While the Wi-Fi was frustrating, his kindness and hospitality left a truly positive impression."

"Lovely, kind staff, felt very welcome upon check in. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, the staff kept food selections refreshed, coffee hot & ready, they welcomed guests with a cheery greeting each morning. Ate dinner at hotel restaurant twice, both meals superb, wine selections were lovely, our waiter was attentive, fun, loved his recommendations. The grounds & buildings were clean, beautiful. We toured the wine cellar, gardens, historic areas. Parking easy, well marked signage. Our group kept remarking “what a great place to stay”, so happy since I picked it! Our rooms were very clean, well appointed. We would definitely stay here again!"

"Beautiful hotel set in bucolic hill top location with spectacular views. The staff were welcoming , friendly and efficient. You can judge hotel service by the speed issues are addressed. We had a few minor issues : a safe without a key, a leak from the air conditioning unit , dud batteries in the telly remote and needed an extra pillow . Within minutes ,new safe ,new batteries ,extra pillow and air conditioning unit serviced immediately. Beautiful dining room with panoramic vistas including spectacular sunsets over the mountains. Dinner and service were excellent and breakfast extremely good. Coffee dispensed from machine was ok , not the best. Machines seem ubiquitous these days."

"We spent three nights in Castello di Cisterna and it was quite magical. Antonio is a true gentleman and his vision and care of the castello is evident everywhere you look. It really was like stepping back in time but with modern amenities ! To have a fire in our kitchen fireplace on a chilly evening while we made dinner was the perfect way to spend an evening. The view from the grounds is amazing and it is a very relaxing place to be- I only wish it had been warmer so we could have enjoyed the pool! We can’t wait to go back "
