"So despite its name, this is not a hotel. It is definitely a motel and that is how it should be filtered on Expedia. Parking was annoying- Expedia description states that there is a parking garage with which the motel has a relationship and this was not available on our visit so we had to find parking in a busy area. Also, a freight train line runs behind this property which is quite loud. There is also a bar nearby that is quite loud at night. On the plus side, the staff was friendly. ...

"Very nice location; close to 64, the Martha Jefferson Hospital, and not too far from Downtown Charlottesville.
There's a nice walking path with a couple of ponds right by; great for a stroll.
They have a small pool and a decent sized hot-tub.
I ate and drank at the bar the first night; the Bartender was very kind and the food was good.
The bed was really comfortable, so sleeping was easy. The blackout curtains worked really nicely.
Will definitely stay there again next time I need to be...

"Hotel was not what i expected. Construction workers, many of them staying there. Very loud outside, drinking beer and hanging outside the rooms. Eventually, they quieted down around 930pm. Parking lot very full with big trucks, parked far away from my room and walked with luggage up narrow stairwell. Booked for 2 nights but only stayed 1. "This location is right in the heart of the University of Virginia grounds so it was very easy for us to drive to John Paul Jones arena for the basketball game and to Klockner Stadium for the lacrosse game. It is on a cu-de-sac with other houses. It is very close to restaurants, the Corner, and the downtown mall. If you are going to Scott Stadium, you can walk there which is great because parking is expensive and difficult to get.
