"Do not stay here if you are disabled or unable to carry your bags up a steep flight of outdoor metal stairs. The unit I stayed in is a refurbished attic. It’s well done and has a kitchenette. But, there does not appear to be any air conditioning. There is heat. I was there when it was cool, but it’s a second floor bedroom so it’s probably hot in the summer. "We stayed in Helena, it was very clean and well equipped. Concern about escape routes in the event of a fire. Some rooms didn’t have a large enough window to get out of. Swimming pool great, as was the hot tub. Lovely setting near Blandford. Would recommend getting shopping delivered as quite remote. "

"We had a lovely two night couples break at Kimbers Farm. The shepherds hut is so comfortable and just the right side of luxury rustic! Possibly the comfiest bed I’ve slept in away from home. The wood fired hot tub adds a sense of fun and is easy to use. We also enjoyed cooking outside (gas hob available inside!). The shower/toilet “block” is great, well equipped and clean. "Excellent stay. Cottage lounge overlooked river, very tranquil view. Friendly hosts and very good accommodation."

"Decent property for a single night stay with a family. Hard to find in the dark and no parking, though on-street parking and car parks are available locally. Three bedrooms with a small kitchen and wet room. Nowhere specific to eat as a family but small tables in each room were fine. Had to phone on the day to get the key code. This could be made more obvious - or the owner could communicate more proactively. "

"Excellent location 10 mins walk to Cathedral and High Street. Nice easy parking right outside property. Quiet and very little noise from Vets below. Convenience store 2 min walk away. Large rooms and lovely shower with fluffy towels."
