"The hotel is right on the water and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. My only criticism is it is very dated. However, the bed in comfortable and the staff were very accommodating! There is a small bar and restaurant in the hotel and another right next door that has lots of outdoor seating."

"Despite being located between two liquor stores and people out front loitering, our room was clean and everything worked. Plenty of clean towels and good water pressure. Breakfast (scrambled eggs, biscuits, and sausage gravy) was tasty and got us going. We didn’t feel in any danger. There did appear to be some long term parked cars as we checked in and out and some vehicles never moved. It worked for us in the situation but won’t be our first choice next time in the area."

"We had to leave and stay at a different hotel due to the unsanitary conditions at Whitehall Cottages. The bed had dirt and hair on the sheets and all around the mattress. There’s no staff on the property and the owner didn’t respond back until later in the evening after we were already checked in to a different hotel. When I asked for a refund I was told he couldn’t do it because we booked through Expedia…"

"Rooms were clean. But they wouldn’t let fourteen year olds go swimming. Said they needed an adult with them. Plus tried to micromanage the fourteen year old girls movement. Said they couldn’t walk around without a parent. They were getting toilet paper from them."

"Building is new. Room was not ready till a hour after check in. Room need to be vacuumed and children's footprints on the bed. Breakfast was good."

"This is one of those hotels that people live at. Like it had long term renters. Do not bring a family here. Lots of traffic and people in the parking lot through the night. We had to bring everything in from our vehicle because we were afraid we would be robbed. There are literally stickers on the inside of the door too the room saying that you should padlock the door for your own safety."

"Do NOT go here. it smells horrible as they allow pets long term and don’t clean properly. then we saw a roach in the microwave and left in the middle of the night with 4 kids. Manager refused to give us a full refund and was UNAPOLOGETIC. disgusting. worst stay i’ve ever had"
