Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you've prepared well enough. We've put together a list of handy travel tips that will help get your Acuña holiday started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a great experience if you take the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want some basic toiletry items, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a fresh set of clothes and a good book. Secondly, make room in your bag for your phone and charger, any daily medications and maybe a blow-up neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to bring your passport, travel docs and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- While the list of prohibited items can differ between air carriers, the general rule to follow is avoid carrying anything sharp, flammable or explosive. This includes screwdrivers, pocket knives, fireworks and fuel. Sporting equipment like hockey sticks, and objects that could injure passengers, such as guns and swords, can't come on board with you either.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an aircraft are no place for a fashion parade. Don comfortable layers and pick shoes that are flat, roomy and easy to pull on and off.
- Caused by prolonged periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clotting condition that can affect some passengers during long-distance flights. Reduce the risks by drinking water, keeping your legs moving and wearing compression socks to help your circulation.
