Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you're prepared. We've put together a list of handy travel tips that will get your Aktobe escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be easy if you pack the right stuff. Firstly, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and lip balm, a spare change of clothes and a few magazines. Secondly, make room in your bag for your mobile phone, a charger, any medications and perhaps a quality neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, be sure to bring your passport, travel docs and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don't have a sharp object lurking in one of the zippers of your hand luggage. Other banned items include flammable or explosive goods, such as aerosol cans and bleach, and gels and liquids in containers larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your main priority when deciding what to wear on board. Loose, breathable clothing is a smart choice, as are flat, slightly roomy shoes.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-distance flights. It's the result of blood clotting due to poor circulation, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks.
