We've pulled together all the info you need to make your flight as enjoyable as possible. Follow our tips and you'll be speeding through the airport and discovering Alishan in no time at all. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First things first, pack your passport, official ID, cash and vital medications. Next, you'll want some in-flight entertainment to help pass the time. A thrilling novel and a phone crammed with your favourite shows are some terrific options. If you hope to catch forty winks, a neck pillow and some earplugs will also be useful. Finally, find room for a few toiletry items so you'll arrive looking fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp objects, like your treasured Swiss Army knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, chemicals agents and fireworks, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your aim is to feel as comfortable as possible. Choose easy-to-remove footwear, dress in loose, breathable clothing and don't forget to bring a pullover in case it gets chilly in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to walk around the cabin or do some simple exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
