Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a seamless experience if you prepare well enough. We've put together a list of handy hints that will help get your Ar Rass escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The secret to having a hassle-free flight experience is to pack ahead. First up, the essentials: passport, travel docs, credit cards and daily medications. Next, bring on board items that'll help keep you entertained, like some electronic gadgets or a good book. It's also wise to pack your chargers, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of noise-cancelling headphones. And of course, be sure to chuck in toiletries like a toothbrush, cleansing wipes and a spare change of clothes.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by security. Pointed or sharp objects, like your precious Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, chemicals agents and gasoline, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an aircraft are no place for a fashion parade. Layer your clothing and choose shoes that are flat and easy to remove.
- Caused by prolonged periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot condition that can affect passengers during long-distance flights. Lower your risks by drinking water, keeping your legs moving and wearing compression tights or socks.
