If you're poorly prepared, airports and flying can be testing. But don't hit the panic button just yet. Follow these tips and tricks for a comfortable start to your holiday in Avoriaz. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a pleasure if you pack the right things. First things first, you'll need toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a spare change of clothes and something to read. Secondly, make room in your hand luggage for your phone and charger, your important medications and maybe a comfy neck pillow as well. Lastly, be sure to take your passport, travel documents and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by security. Sharp objects, like your precious Swiss Army knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and gasoline, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your top priority when choosing what to wear on your flight. Loose clothing is a smart choice, as are flat, enclosed shoes.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to wander around the cabin or do some simple exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
