We've rounded up all the info you need to make your flight as stress-free as possible. Follow our tips and you'll be breezing through airport security and seeing the best of Bali in no time at all. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a stress-free experience if you carry the right things. Firstly, you'll want a few basic toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a spare change of clothes and a few magazines. Secondly, find room in your bag for your phone, tablet and chargers, any vital medications and perhaps a cosy neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to bring your passport, travel papers and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp or pointed objects, like a Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and fuels, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- The narrow aisles of your plane are not the best place for a fashion parade. Don comfortable layers and take a cardigan as it tends to get cool in the cabin on long-haul flights. Enclosed, flat shoes are always a good idea too.
- Unfortunately, a risk of flying long distances is developing DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged inactivity. To prevent this, make the most of every opportunity to wander around the cabin. Compression tights and socks are another great idea to help minimize this risk.
