Depending on where you're coming from, your trip to Bangar could be completely stress-free or it could drag on forever. We've rounded up some useful travel tips that will help you start your next big adventure on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First, pack in your passport, travel documents, wallet and vital medications. Next, you'll want some extra in-flight entertainment to while away the hours. A juicy novel and a phone filled with your favourite movies are some terrific options. If you hope to catch up on some sleep, a quality neck pillow and some noise-cancelling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, find room for a few toiletry items so you'll arrive looking fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like your Swiss Army knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, bleaching agents and poisons, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your main aim is to be as comfortable as possible. Choose a pair of flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, natural fibers and don't forget to bring a sweater in case it gets cold in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-distance flights. It results from blood clots forming due to inactivity and poor circulation, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression tights or socks.
