Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you've planned ahead. Check out these handy tips that will get your Batu Pahat escape started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Travelling on a plane can be a comfortable experience if you carry the right things. Firstly, you'll want a few basic toiletry items, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a fresh set of clothes and a good book. Secondly, make room in your bag for your electronic gadgets, chargers, any daily medications and perhaps a cosy neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, be sure to take your passport, travel documents and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp objects, like your precious pocket knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, bleaching agents and fuels, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your main priority is to feel as comfortable as you can. Go for a pair of flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, natural fibers and remember to take a jacket in case you get cold in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clots forming due to poor circulation and inactivity, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression tights or socks.
