We've pulled together all the info you need to make your flight a pleasant experience. Follow our tips and you'll be speeding through airport security and exploring Beidou before you know it. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- It's simple — first, pack your passport, travel documents, credit cards and vital medications. Next, you'll want some extra in-flight entertainment to help pass the time. A juicy novel and a laptop crammed with your favourite movies are some wonderful options. If you hope to catch forty winks, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of noise-cancelling headphones will also be useful. Finally, find room for a toothbrush and some deodorant so you'll hop off the plane feeling fresh as a daisy.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don't have sharp objects (like a pocket knife) hiding in one of the zippers of your carry-on luggage. Other prohibited items include flammable or explosive goods, such as aerosol cans and fuel, and liquids and gels in containers larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Your aim here is to feel as comfortable as you can. Pick a pair of slip-on shoes, dress in loose, natural fibers and don't forget to take a sweater in case it gets chilly in the cabin.
- You're probably aware of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To minimize your risk on board, drink plenty of water, consider wearing compression socks and keep your feet and legs moving.
