We've rounded up all the info you need to make your journey as enjoyable as possible. Follow our tips and you'll be cruising through the airport and enjoying Bennington in no time at all. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a comfortable experience if you pack the right gear. Firstly, you'll want some basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and lip balm, a clean pair of socks and a few magazines. Secondly, find room in your hand luggage for your laptop, a charger, any medications and maybe a cosy neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to take your passport, travel papers and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don't have a pocket knife lurking in one of the zippers of your carry-on luggage. Other banned items include flammable or explosive products, like aerosols and matches, and liquids and gels in containers with a volume of more than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- Your number one priority is to make yourself as comfortable as you can. Dress in loose, natural-fibre clothing and take a jacket just in case you get chilly. Always go with well-fitting, flat shoes as it's possible that your feet and ankles will swell a little during the flight. Leave the high heels and chunky boots in your luggage.
- Unfortunately, a risk of flying long distances is developing deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged inactivity. To prevent this, take every opportunity to walk around and give your legs a stretch. Compression socks and tights are another great idea to help reduce this risk.
