If you're not prepared, airports and flying can be challenging. But there's no need to panic. Follow these handy tips and enjoy a worry-free start to your holiday in Bled. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a cruisy experience if you've got all the right things. First of all you'll need basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a spare change of clothes and a good read. Secondly, find room in your carry-on bag for your mobile phone, a charger, any medications and maybe a blow-up neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to bring your passport, travel docs and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have a Swiss Army knife lurking in the bottom of your hand luggage. Other restricted items include flammable or explosive products, such as fuel and matches, and gels and liquids in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane aren't the place for a fashion parade. Don comfortable layers and opt for shoes that are closed-toe, flat and easy to slip on and off.
- Caused by lengthy periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clotting condition that can affect some passengers on long-distance flights. Reduce the risks by drinking water, keeping your legs and ankles moving and wearing compression socks or tights.
