Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a seamless experience if you've prepared well enough. We've put together a list of handy travel tips that will help get your Boden escape started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First of all, pack in your passport, official ID, wallet and daily medications. Next, you'll need some extra in-flight entertainment to while away the hours. A thrilling book and a laptop filled with your favourite movies are always good options. If you hope to catch a few z's, a quality neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also come in handy. Finally, leave some space for a few toiletry items to ensure you touchdown feeling fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated. Pointed or sharp objects, like your beloved Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosols and fuels, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your top priority when choosing what to wear on board. Loose, breathable clothing is a wise option, as are flat, slip-on shoes.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to wander around the cabin or do some simple exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
