Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you've prepared well. We've made a list of essential travel tips that will get your Bohumin escape started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Travelling on a plane can be a pleasure if you bring the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want some toiletry items, such as lip balm and hand cream, a spare pair of socks and a good read. Secondly, find a spot in your carry-on bag for your electronic devices, chargers, your important medications and maybe a blow-up neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to bring your passport, travel documents and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like your treasured Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosols and fireworks, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Go for comfort over style. Prepare for temperature changes by donning layers, and pick flat, slightly roomy shoes like slip-ons.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-distance flights. It's the result of blood clotting due to poor circulation, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks.
