Wherever you're coming from, flying can be a seamless experience if you've planned ahead. We've made a list of handy travel tips that will get your Boneza holiday started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- It's simple — first, pack your passport, official ID, cash and vital medications. Next, you'll want some extra in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A thrilling book and a phone filled with your favourite shows are some great options. If you plan to take a short snooze, a neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also be useful. Finally, make room for a few toiletry items to ensure you step off the plane feeling fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated. Sharp or pointed objects, like a Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and matches, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane are no place for a fashion parade. Wear layers and opt for shoes that are closed-toe, flat and easy to remove.
- The result of sustained periods of immobility, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clotting condition that can affect some passengers on long-haul flights. Reduce the risks by drinking water, keeping your lower limbs moving and wearing compression socks to help improve your circulation.
