Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a seamless experience if you're well prepared. We've made a list of handy tips and tricks that will get your Buenaventura holiday started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a stress-free experience if you've got all the right gear. First things first, you'll need toiletry items, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a clean set of clothes and a magazine or two. Next, find room in your hand luggage for your phone, tablet and chargers, your important medications and maybe a proper neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, be sure to bring your passport, travel docs and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- While the list of prohibited items differs between airlines, the general guide to follow is nothing flammable, sharp or explosive. This includes things like screwdrivers, pocket knives, spray paint and fireworks. Sports equipment like golf clubs, and items that could harm other people, such as pepper spray and guns, won't be allowed on board either.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane are no place for a fashion parade. Wear layers and pick shoes that are closed-toe, flat and easy to pull on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to walk around the cabin or do some simple exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
