If you're poorly prepared, airports and flying can be daunting. But there's no need to worry. Follow these tips and tricks for a pleasant start to your time in Cabedelo. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a comfortable experience if you take the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want a few toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and lip balm, a spare change of clothes and a good novel. Secondly, find a spot in your carry-on bag for your mobile phone, a charger, your important medications and perhaps a blow-up neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, remember to take your passport, travel documents and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp or pointed objects, like your trusty pocket knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and gasoline, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an aircraft aren't the place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfortable clothing and opt for shoes that are flat, roomy and easy to pull on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to wander around the cabin or do some gentle exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
