We've pulled together all the info you need to make your journey an enjoyable experience. Follow our tips and you'll be breezing through the airport and seeing the best of Cannes in next to no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a cruisy experience if you bring the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want a few toiletry items, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a spare change of clothes and a few magazines. Next, leave space in your bag for your phone and charger, any medications and perhaps a comfy neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to bring your passport, travel papers and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don't have a pocket knife hiding in the bottom of your carry-on luggage. Other prohibited items include explosive or flammable substances, such as bleach and fuel, and liquids and gels in containers larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an aircraft are no place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfy clothing and pick shoes that are flat, roomy and easy to take on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Make a point of walking around the cabin or do some simple exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
