We've got the lowdown on how to make your journey a pleasant experience. Follow our tips and you'll be cruising through the airport and exploring Chokurdakh in no time at all. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- It's easy — first, pack your passport, travel documents, wallet and medications. Next, you'll need some entertainment to while away the time. A thrilling book and a phone crammed with your favourite shows are always good options. If you intend to catch up on some sleep, a quality neck pillow and some noise-cancelling headphones will also be useful. Finally, find room for a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes so you'll hop off the plane looking fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- While the list of restricted items can differ between airlines, the general rule of thumb is avoid carrying anything flammable, sharp or explosive. This includes box cutters, razor blades, aerosol cans and flares. Sports equipment like golf clubs, and objects that could harm other people, such as pepper spray and firearms, can't come on board with you either.
What to wear on a flight:
- Choose comfort over style. Prepare for changes in cabin temperature by dressing in layers, and wear flat, closed-toe footwear like sneakers.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-distance flights. It results from blood clots forming due to poor circulation and inactivity, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression tights or socks.
