Wherever you're coming from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you've planned ahead. We've compiled a list of handy tips that will help get your Choshi holiday started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- It's easy — first, pack your passport, travel docs, cash and vital medications. Next, you'll need some in-flight entertainment to help pass the time. A juicy novel and a phone filled with your favourite shows are some terrific options. If you plan to catch up on some sleep, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also be useful. Finally, leave space for a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes to ensure you hop off the plane feeling fresh as a daisy.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- While the list of restricted items can differ between air carriers, the general rule to follow is avoid carrying anything flammable, sharp or explosive. This includes things like box cutters, razor blades, fireworks and fuel. Sports equipment like hockey sticks, and objects that could injure passengers, such as swords and guns, are also banned from the cabin.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane aren't the place for a fashion parade. Don comfortable layers and pick shoes that are flat, enclosed and easy to pull on and off.
- Caused by prolonged periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot condition that can affect some passengers during long flights. Lower your risks by drinking water, keeping your feet and legs moving and wearing compression socks or tights.
