We've got the lowdown on how to make your flight a stress-free experience. Follow our tips and you'll be speeding through airport security and having a blast in Clearwater Beach in no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a cruisy experience if you pack the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want some toiletry items, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a fresh set of clothes and a good read. Secondly, make room in your hand luggage for your laptop, a charger, any medications and maybe a comfy neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, don't forget to take your passport, travel docs and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have a pocket knife lurking in one of the compartments of your carry-on luggage. Other prohibited items include explosive or flammable products, such as fuel and matches, and liquids and gels in containers with a capacity of more than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- The narrow aisles of your airplane are no fashion runway. Layer yourself up with comfortable clothes and don't forget to bring a sweater as it tends to get cool inside the cabin. Slightly roomy, flat shoes are also a sensible choice.
- A serious condition by the name of DVT (deep vein thrombosis) can pose a risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clotting due to inactivity and poor circulation. Walking around the cabin and doing regular leg and foot exercises in your seat helps to prevent this occurring. Wearing a good pair of compression socks or tights also helps reduce the risk.
