If you're poorly prepared, travelling can be tough. But there's no need to hit the panic button just yet. Follow these helpful hints and enjoy a comfortable start to your getaway in Compass Cay. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Travelling on a plane can be easy if you carry the right stuff. First of all you'll need toiletry items, such as lip balm and hand cream, a fresh set of clothes and a few magazines. Secondly, make room in your hand luggage for your electronic gadgets, chargers, any medications and perhaps a quality neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to bring your passport, travel documents and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like your pocket knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, chemicals agents and gasoline, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane aren't the place for a fashion parade. Don comfortable layers and opt for shoes that are roomy, flat and easy to slip on and off.
- You're probably aware of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To lessen your risk on board, drink lots of water, consider wearing compression socks and do gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat.
